Who are we?
The East Cornwall Council for Voluntary Service (ECCVS) is an independent organisation with charitable status and a company limited by guarantee.
The organisation was formerly known as Community Projects Trust SW Ltd, originally established in 1988.
What is a Council for Voluntary Service (CVS)?
A CVS is a local membership organisation which supports its members by providing them with a
range of services and by acting as a voice for the local voluntary and community sector.
A CVS helps to support, promote and develop local voluntary and community action through five key functions: Service and Support;
Liaison; Representation; Development Work and Strategic Partnerships.
Our aim:
"To help increase the capabilities of local communities in east Cornwall, by identifying community issues, needs and problems and
then working with local groups to develop relevant community solutions. The agency works to promote, develop and support those voluntary
and community organisations and groups which are central to community life."
FEATURE: Research to Improve Support for Caradon Based Charities and Voluntary Organisations
